Featured Artist Talks: Cree McCree
Please join us for an evening with Cree McCree as we talk boho haute couture and learn about her process for up-cycling discarded garments into upscale fashion!
Costume designer/assemblage artist Cree McCree, author of Flea Market America, has produced cutting-edge fashion shows in New Orleans for the past 15 years. As the founder of Righteous Fur, she's received international press coverage for spotlighting coastal wetlands loss with a series of Nutria-palooza! shows in Louisiana and New York, which recycle the fur of an invasive species into boho haute couture. Cree also runs Piety Street Market and produces two long-running annual costume events with a galaxy of top New Orleans designers.
